Remarkable progress has been made since 1995 in the understanding of the many and diverse benefits of actively managing pressure in distribution systems. This section of the LEAKSSuite website contains a selection of papers by Allan Lambert and colleagues from the IWA Water Loss Specialist Group which highlight some key steps in the steady development of concepts which provide insights, calculations and predictions in the rapidly expanding growth of knowledge of ‘Influences of Pressure’.

1994: Pressure-Dependent Leakage: the Fixed and Expanding Paths Concept. May, J. World Water and Environmental Engineering, Oct 1994

2002: What do we know about Pressure:Leakage Relationships in Distributions Systems? Lambert A. IWA Conference ‘System Approach to Leakage Control and Water Distribution Systems Management’ Brno, Czech Republic. Updated with notes 2004. (Awaiting post and web link).
